A lot of expectations and hopes for the future of XBOX are sitting on the shoulders of Starfield, and after this showcase, Bethesda is stepping up to the challenge.
In their Starfield Direct as part of Summer Games Fest, they revealed a lot of gameplay and functionality within the game including:
– Swap between First Person and Third Person during exploration
– Over 1000 different planets to explore
– Fast Travel back to your ship or known locations
– Companions can join you on travels
– Star Map shows you all the key information about each planet
– Character Creation and Customisation (Starting from 40 Presets)
– Assign your character background/traits that impact the story
– 5 Skill tree’s to unlock abilities, with 4 ranks per skill
– Buy ships, customize, and hire crews
– Destroy or loot ships, once you have control, it’s yours
– You can buy the watch and a Starfield Controller and Headset
– The planet is built upon approach, meaning every game is different for players
– Build outposts and bases on planets (flycam will allow easier building)
– Wide range of weapons to match play style
– Photo Mode
