Badass Trailer for ‘Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance’ Animated Series

“This could turn the tide of the war.” Netflix has revealed another flashy official trailer for the Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance animated sci-fi series. One more Gundam series related to Mobile Suit Gundam. Made in Japan, this series will be dropping on Netflix starting in October 2024. Requiem for Vengeance will take place at the European front during the One Year War, a conflict also depicted in the very first series Mobile Suit Gundam. This next series follows the themes such as conflict and love seen in previous Gundam titles, as well as human drama depicted through the clash of pilots who operate humanoid weapons called Mobile Suits. In the year 0079, the Principality of Zeon rebels against the Earth Federation, sparking a war. After 11 months, the Federation seizes a Zeon base in Eastern Europe as a mixed battalion moves to reclaim it. The voice cast for Requiem for Vengeance includes Celia Massingham as Iria Sorari. In the year 0079 of the Universal Century, the Principality of Zeon declares independence from the Earth Federation, plunging the two nations into war. Thanks to a revolutionary new weapon known as a Mobile Suit, the Zeon Force initially gains the upper hand. However, they lacked the power to take control of the entire Earth, bringing the war to a stalemate. 11 months into the war, the Earth Federation forces manage to seize a Zeon-controlled base located in Eastern Europe. Among the mixed battalion headed to reclaim this base is Sorari and the Red Wolves division, a Mobile Suit platoon that has just descended from space.
Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance, originally known as 機動戦士ガンダム 復讐のレクイエム in Japanese, is an animated Gundam series directed by filmmaker Erasmus Brosdau, also director of the “Origin Zero” series previously. The script is written by Gavin Hignight. Produced by Ken Iyadomi. With character design by Manuel Augusto Dischinger Moura, and mechanical design by Kimitoshi Yamane. Animation produced by and sound direction by Hiroaki Yura. It’s made by Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. – a Sunrise Production in association with Safehouse Inc.
