Jamie first started by thanking fans and friends for all the messages he’s gotten so far.
“I can not even tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back,” he shared, and while he didn’t mention what the scare was, Jamie admits that he “went through something I never thought I would go through.”
He continued, “A lot of people were waiting for updates but to be honest, I didnt’ want you to see me like that…I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.
He also gave credit to his sister and daughters who “saved my life. They kept it air tight, and didn’t let anything out and protected me. I hope that’s what everyone could have in moments like these.”
Jamie also took the opportunity to debunk a few rumors about what happened, which included that he was now blind (“eyes are working just fine”) and paralyzed.
“I went though hell and back and my road to recovery had some potholes as well. I am coming back and was able to work,” he said.
Jamie then again thanked everyone for all the support: “I love all the love that I got…” he said while tearing up about it. “If you see me out and every once in a while I burst into tears, it’s been tough. I was sick, and now I have my legs under me.”
