True Detective: Night Country is the fourth season of the acclaimed HBO anthology series and the stars are promoting it at FYC events ahead of the Emmys!
Jodie Foster and Kali Reis were joined by showrunner, writer, director, and executive producer Issa Lopez at the FYC event on Tuesday (June 4) in Los Angeles.
Also in attendance were co-stars John Hawkes and Isabella Star LaBlanc, as well as executive producer Mari Jo Winkler-Ioffreda.
In a new interview, Issa teased the upcoming fifth season that has been ordered by HBO.

Issa told Variety she’s “in the writing” process right now. She added, “And it’s a blast. It’s completely different. There’s different characters, different setting, different story — and I’m enjoying it like crazy.”
When asked if the season revolves around two women again, Issa said, “I will not tell you that yet — yet. But it’s a completely different adventure. Let’s put it that way.” She was also asked if anything from season four will carry into season five. She said, “I still can’t tell, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised. We’ll see.”
True Detective: Night Country was the most-watched season of the series with 12.7 million viewers across all platforms.
