With several Justice League heroes joining Superman: Legacy, stunning fan art depicts the potential looks for Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern as well as the other new cast members who will be suiting up in the film. Superman: Legacy is the true start for DC Studios’ highly anticipated Chapter 1, “Gods and Monster,” which will kickoff the new DC Universe. Pre-production is currently in process for Superman: Legacy as James Gunn gets ready to direct the reboot in 2024, in order to meet its 2025 release date.
Outside of David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan as Superman and Lois Lane, Superman: Legacy will also feature additional superheroes from the DC lore that will help flesh out Gunn’s larger DC Universe. It hasn’t even been a week, and fans are already imagining what Fillion, Edi Gathegi, and Anthony Carrigan could look like as Green Lantern, Mister Terrific, and Metamorpho, respectively.
Graphic designer and comic artist Artkin released his version of how Fillion could look in Guy’s version of the Green Lantern costume. While he doesn’t have Guy’s famous haircut, Fillion still got depicted with red hair.
For Gathegi as Mister Terrific, YouTube editor Julian Bell did his design of what the former X-Men: First Class could look like as the DC hero. Bell also did a version of Gathegi’s Mister Terrific costume where the T-mask is depicted with red color instead of black.
Lastly, Bell also released a great design of Corrigan, who was cast only a day after his fellow three Superman: Legacy co-stars, as Metamorpho. This would be the first time Corrigan actually got to be suited up as a DC superhero, after having played the DC Comics villains Victor Zsasz and The Mist on Gotham and The Flash show, respectively.
What Other Characters Are Confirmed & Rumored To Be Getting Cast For Superman: Legacy
When it comes to confirmed characters, Gunn has stated that Jimmy Olsen – the infamous Daily Planet photographer, and Superman’s pal – will be part of Superman: Legacy. Whether or not they have tapped an actor yet for Jimmy is unclear, as they may have still been in the middle of the casting process for him before the SAG-AFTRA strike went into effect. There is speculation that Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White is also being cast, since Superman: Legacy will have a focus on Clark’s work life.
In addition to this, there are a number of rumored DC characters for Superman: Legacy that Gunn and DC Studios have yet to confirm or debunk. Supposedly, members of The Authority will be introduced in order to set up their solo movie that is coming up in Chapter 1. Lastly, the casting department is rumored to be looking for someone to portray Lex Luthor, with Alexander and Bill Skarsgård being in the mix for a prospective casting.
It will be exciting to see who actually ends up in Superman: Legacy as they get ready for their 2024 production. If there are more heroes being cast for Superman: Legacy, it will be interesting to see where they go after Superman’s reboot. Hopefully, more news will be able to come out for Superman: Legacy sooner rather than later.
